ST. LOUIS — According to the statements made by the police on Wednesday, a group of armed thieves broke into a local veterinary clinic on Tuesday evening, held personnel at gunpoint, and took medication from a locker.

A group of four or five people in their late teens or early 20s entered City Paws Veterinary Clinic at 2200 S. Vandeventer just before 6 p.m. as employees were in the process of closing down the business. According to the police, the suspects were armed.

They requested that the employees open a locked cabinet that contained various medications and instructed them to report to the rear of the clinic. The money and medication were taken by the criminals, who then made their getaway in a maroon SUV, according to the police.

The police have not yet located any possible suspects.
